About Me

I am a Registered Counsellor with specialised training in Clay Therapy. My approach to counselling is to view each person holistically, body, mind and soul.

My interest in counselling began in High School where my dream was to support others using art in the healing process. I began the journey by studying both art and psychology and have continued exploring these areas through further studies, but also through the rich experiences I've had over the past 30+ years working in NGOs, teaching counselling, parenting and my own personal journey of healing from trauma.

Because each person is unique and their healing is deeply personal, I integrate different modalities that take into account the whole person. These include elements from creative/art therapies as well as Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Narrative therapy. I have a special interest in Clay Therapy (see link) as well as Christian Counselling.

I am passionate about Group work and the power of creating healing spaces, where people can connect, grow together and support one another after counselling has ended. I believe that with the right support and a safe place, people can heal and thrive - even in the face of deep trauma and life's toughest challenges.
Areas Of Interest
